Horsham YMCA lost their second game in three days as they went down to a disappointing 4-1 defeat at home to East Grinstead Town on Saturday (December 28).

On a day when a number of Sussex County League matches were rained off, YM took a 30th minute lead in this Division One match through Nick Sullivan.

But a hat-trick from Sam Schaaf and a goal from Scott Johnston handed Town all three points.

In Division Two, Broadbridge Heath enjoyed a 5-0 away win at Oakwood, Andy Howard and Kieron Purkiss with braces and one goal from Tiago Andrade.

Loxwood moved level on points with leaders Eastbourne Utd AFC with a 3-1 home win over third placed Haywards Heath Town. Mark Cave scored twice and Dean Wright sealed the points with a late third.

Also in Division Two Storrington went down 2-3 at home to AFC Uckfield, Joe Warner and Richard Ayres on target for the Swans.

And in Division Three Billingshurst lost 1-0 away at Sidlesham, Tom Kelly with the winner.

Full reports of these games will appear in next week’s West Sussex County Times, out on Thursday.
