BEN ANDREWS expects the majority of Horsham’s squad to leave in the summer, following the departure of manager John Maggs.

Maggs will not have his contract renewed at the end of the month, and club captain Andrews believes the squad will break up.

He said: “A lot of people are hugely loyal to John, some of them have been with him for years and years.

“And there are quite a few of us in the squad who have only played for him for one or two years and we have given a huge amount of loyalty and respect.

“Players will go. I think the fact that there was a huge amount of loyalty for John, naturally there will be a lot of players who will go.

“With what the plans are for next season it’s difficult to see how many of the current squad will be there.”

Andrews is the only player on contract at Horsham, and he plans to sit down with the club’s board to discuss his future.

“I realise managers come and go,” Andrews said.

“I need to sit down the club. In terms of myself, I signed a contract to stay with them for the next two years, and that’s where I stand at the moment.

“We need to have a discussion about where the club is going and what is right for me. I have three or four years left if playing in me and I want to make sure that is at the highest level I can.”
