JOHN Maggs believes Horsham rode their luck to earn a Sussex Senior Cup quarter final replay with Burgess Hill.
The Hornets needed a 91st minute goal from Steve Davies to take last night’s tie into extra time before the returning Lee Farrell put the visitors on course for a place in the last four. But Nick Fogden stooped to earn Ryman Division 1 South Hillians a replay as he made it 2-2 from a deep corner.
Maggs said: “I think we were very very lucky. We are very fortunate to get them back to our place. We were dead and buried until Anthony Storey comes up with a bit of magic and there was a neat finish from Steve Davies.
“We dominated the first half but in the second we were the pits, we are lucky to still be in the competition.”
