HORSHAM boss Justin Luchford has confirmed ten signings as preparations for the Ryman League season are ramped up.
One of these is his brother Dane, who was top scorer at Justin’s former club Faversham, ending the season as both the most successful striker and providing the most assists.
Central midfielder Ryan Woodford is the only member of last season’s squad to have stayed on, while former Hornets youth players Adam Hutchings (midfield) and winger Tony Nwachukwu have put pen to paper, as has another player Horsham fans will remember, defender Yinka Salaam, who played for the club in the 2007-8 season before leaving to play in the USA.
Wide player Kane Rice, 22, has joined from Conference South club Dover, while Luchford has also brought in promising youngsters Tommy Youle, Callum Dunne and Jake Jacobs, who is 17.
Finally, tall centre half Lloyd Graham, a former Tooting player, has joined having returned after a spell out of football.
Luchford said: “I am delighted they have all joined us. The youngsters all have great ability and a good attitude which we will need to bring on and are working very hard in training.
“Lloyd has been out of the game for a while but is getting his fitness up well and I am expecting big things from him.”
After suffering a 5-1 mauling against Croydon Athletic on Saturday, the Hornets registered their first win of pre-season on Tuesday, beating East Grinstead 2-0 with goals from Dan Morris and Youle.
