Hornets boss fears suspensions

RYAN Woodford should return to the Horsham midfield for tomorrow’s visit of Cray Wanderers, while boss John Maggs admits he may have to bring in new faces to cope with suspensions over Christmas.

Paul Kennett, Gary Charman, Michael Hector and Ben Andrews will all serve suspensions at some stage over the festive period, while Lee Carey is unavailable for the December 27 match against Croydon Athletic.

Maggs said: “I am really struggling then, I might have to do something about it, I’m looking at bringing someone in on loan.”

Meanwhile, the Hornets will look for a third straight win on Saturday, following this week’s defeats of Hastings and Carshalton.

“I think the boys are really up for it,” Maggs said. “Cray are a good side this year but we are enjoying it now and I want us to push onwards and upwards.”
