Horsham will be boosted by the return of winger Tony Nwachukwu and goalkeeper Gareth Williams for their trip to East Grinstead tonight - with player-manager Gary Charman also in the race to be fit.

All three missed out as ten-man Horsham went down 2-0 to South Park in their Ryman League South Division opener on Saturday.

But Nwachukwu (suspension), Williams (unavailable) and Charman (ankle injury) look set to return to the squad for tonight’s clash against newly-promoted East Grinstead.

Charman admitted before the South Park game that he was aiming for Saturday’s match against at Sittingbourne, but his recovery seems to have accelerated.

Speaking to Hornets Review, assistant manager Rob Frankland said: “We have the chance to put things right at East Grinstead on Tuesday and hopefully get that first win under our belts.

“We should have Gary back, Gareth Williams is available and we will be more powerful going forward with Tony in the side.

“East Grinstead are another promoted side so it’ll be another tough test for us. We had them watched on Saturday and know a few things about them, plus it’ll be like playing Horsham Old Boys with Gravesy (Tom Graves), Geardy (Matt Geard), Deathy (Michael Death) and Steve Sargent all in their side.”
