Horsham manager Simon Colbran was happy to pick up a point in Saturday’s opening day draw against Cornthian Casuals.
Scott Harris struck 25 minutes from time to cancel out Danny Green’s opener as the Hornets started life in Ryman Division 1 South with a well earned point.
Horsham had possibly the better of the chances, and Colbran admits he had to look at the positives.
He said: “I am happy with the performance, I felt we passed it more and we were a lot fitter then tham. Nobody wants to lose their opening match of the season, so getting a draw was great, but maybe if I look back in a couple of months I will say that was a match I wanted three points from.
“We showed a lot of heart, everyone worked hard but when we got it we did play some good football, that has shown straight away that we will be a footballing side.”
