MIDFIELDER Williams Peauroux has gone straight into the squad for tonight’s trip to Bury Town after rejoining Horsham yesterday.
The Frenchman, who played for The Hornets during the 2008/09 season, was a free agent having played for Lewes this season and signed forms at training on Monday night.
Manager John Maggs said: “I’ve included Williams in the squad after he signed last night. He had been out for a year with a bad injury, cruciate ligament damage but he was a free agent and he’s come in because of the situation I have with injuries to my squad.
“He’s fit but is missing a game or two.”
Skipper Ben Andrews misses tonight’s long journey after being carried off at the end of Saturday’s draw with Margate. The defender saw a doctor who said it could just be a muscle tear, but there are still fears it could be more serious and he will see a specialist over the next couple of days.
Paul Kennett also starts the first of a two game suspension, and is out along with Jamie Cade, whose ankle injury has been confirmed as bad bruising which will keep him out for a month rather then a fracture which could have seen him miss the rest of the season.
Maggs said: “They (Bury Town) are a decent side and it’s going to be difficult, but if we show the same attitude and performance as on Saturday who knows.”
