Horsham player-manager Gary Charman has said he is still hoping to pull one more ace from up his sleeve in his summer signings.
Attacking midfielder Billy Dunn re-joined the club on Saturday after the Hornets drew 0-0 at Horley, but there still could be another new recruit.
Last week, Charman hinted that his summer transfer dealings were done, unless a special player came available.
That seems to have been the case, but the player-manager has hinted he is working hard to pull another potential ace from up his sleeve ahead of the start of the season next weekend.
Charman said: “I have got one last card up my sleeve, but we will have to wait until Saturday and see what comes of it.
“It’s a lot of travelling and that’s the problem, but I am trying to sort out lifts and things and see if I can work my magic.
“We will have to wait and see on Saturday, he’s playing for us and see how he enjoys it. I rate him a lot and hopefully he will see I have a big part planned for him.”
