Broadbridge Heath manager Steve Painter asserts his team remain firmly-grounded after their flying start to the season.
After promotion from Division 3 of the Sussex County League to Division 2, Heath are unbeaten after five games and have conceded just six goals.
Saturday’s 6-0 drubbing of Saltdean put Painter’s men seventh in the early league table, but Painter says there is more to come.
Jake Holmes scored a hat-trick, while Michael Wood, Jamal Sultan and Gary Pritchard were also on the scoresheet.
Painter said: “We have made a great start but we are not there yet, we are keeping our feet firmly on the ground.
“When we came up everyone thought we were going to be the whipping boys. But I have always said I thought we would be more suited to Division 2. If we are still doing what we are now at Christmas, that’s when we can get carried away.”
