Horsham FC starlet Jamie Ampleford has been told he has a bright future at the club.
The Hornets’ under-18s striker was given his full first team debut in Saturday’s 3-1 loss at Chipstead, and as boss Colbran searches for a winning formula this season, Ampleford has provided a bright spark in a difficult start to the year.
After four substitute appearances for Horsham Ampleford started alongside fellow under-18 Harry Smith - who set-up their consolation goal at Chipstead.
And Colbran is excited about working with the 17-year-old forward.
He said: “Jamie is a very good player and could go a long way in the game.
“He has given it 100 per cent and that’s what we are looking for.”
