The defender made four appearances in all competitions for Horsham last season before the campaign was curtailed.

Posting on Twitter, Charman said: “I’m pleased to say that, after a short call with manager Dom Di Paola, I have agreed to play another season with Horsham.

“I feel lucky and honoured to be asked to be a part of an incredible club with so much quality.

“I’m not silly, I know I will be more of a squad player, but I’ll make sure I’m ready when called upon.”

Di Paola told us: “He’s got loads of experience and he’s a good lad to have among the group.

“Hopefully we can help him see it out this time. We’re two years down now, what with cancelled leagues.

“I think it’d be nice for him to finish on a high note and not a curtailed season or a cancelled season.”
