The new-look team under the new boss Dermot Drummy and new owner Ziya Eren is playing an attractive blend of football and has got off to a great start.

In their first three games they beat Wycombe Wanderers 1-0, narrowly lost out 2-1 away to Championship side Wolves and in another away trip, returned unbeaten in League 2 with a 1-1 draw.

There is a deliberate policy to be positive in the way they play and the way the staff conduct themselves.

Reds are hoping the feelgood factor will pay-off with increased gates coming to the Checkatrade Stadium.

Head coach Drummy said: “The crowd usually responds to teams playing attacking football.

“If we’re playing attacking football, it will get more attractive to the fans.

“Currently we have been very attacking in our games this season. Hopefully we will see an upturn in attendances.”

Off the field the club have appointed Graham Wright as their new commercial sales manager.

And in a few weeks in the job he has already unveiled a new club loyalty card.

And he is now working on a new scheme to bring the club management and main sponsors together.

Drummy said: “On the marketing side we have appointed Graham Wright - he’s very active and very lively.

“We are working on a scheme where we’ll meet businessmen and show them our vision for the club.

“We are working with Keith Murray, owner of Ryan Vehicles - he came to network and get close in behind the scenes and see how we do things. This should be good for integration with grass roots.

“Hopefully this will reap dividends if we also work hard on improving the match day experience on and off the pitch.”

Wright added: “The aim will be to bring together the main sponsors and the club in a new initiative.

“It’s maximising efficiency on and off the pitch and maximising the return on investment as much as we can. Full details are to be released next week.”

The loyalty card was launched in County Mall last week with the objective of saving people money at outlets around Crawley and keep business in the town.

Anyone wanting to get a new Crawley Town Loyalty card should ring Wright on 01293 410004.
