The 39-year-old veteran stopper is showing there is life in the old Dane yet after recapturing his place in the team.

The former Burnley player has made three starts since on loan number one Lewis Price suffered concussion against Leyton Orient.

Jensen admitted he is now showing everyone what he can do again. He said: “Not only to the gaffer, but in general, when you get to my age you have to show people, that’s the nature of football.

“You have to show people you can still do it, because otherwise they will say he’s just an old man and needs a walking stick and that kind of stuff. You just have to prove people wrong and that’s what I am trying to do.

“I was hoping that 2014/15 would be a better year but it’s been a little bit up and down; hey-ho that is football for you.”

The former Premier League goalkeeper added: “There is a good spirit around here definitely. We all get on well together and I think that is key, if you get on well everyday when you see each other and you work hard and do it with a smile on your face.”
