The rapid 23-year-old has been handed the number 32 shirt and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Stevenage.

Kyle, the younger brother of Brighton player Elliott Bennett, made 35 appearances for Doncaster last season to help them lift the League 1 title, scoring three goals.

The wide man has found opportunities in the Championship limited so far this season having made just one Rovers appearance, and will come as a welcome with Crawley’s squad being one of the smallest in the division.

Bennett began his career at Wolves, before making 32 appearances for Bury while Reds boss Richie Barker was at the club, and then moving on to join Doncaster.

Barker is delighted to have finally got his man after holding on-off negotiations with Doncaster for the player for the last two weeks.

He said: “Kyle is a player I knew from my time at Bury and when he got his move to Doncaster I monitored his progress.

“He was a big part of what they achieved last season but he hasn’t played too many games so far this season and we are delighted Doncaster have agreed to let us have him, initially for a month.

“He is quick, can play on either flank, is very good on the ball and has an eye for goal.

“He is here to get games under his belt and I think he will fit in with the way we like to play.

“Our squad isn’t the biggest as everyone knows and a new face, especially someone of Kyle’s quality, will freshen things up and improve our options as we look to start another unbeaten run.”

The is an option to extend the deal further once the loan is up.
