Crawley Town’s Shamir Fenelon goes on loan to Whitehawk

Crawley Town striker Shamir Fenelon has joined Conference South club Whitehawk on a one-month emergency loan.

The paperwork was completed in time for Fenelon to be involved in Whitehawk’s game at Ebbsfleet United today.

Reds boss Mark Yates said: “This is a good opportunity for Shamir to get game time under his belt and, of course, we will be monitoring how he does closely.”

Fenelon comes from Crawley and has a strong local following having gone to school nearby to the Checkatrade.com Stadium at Thomas Bennett Community College.

However the former Brighton & Hove Albion youth has not yet started a competitive match since being signed by Yates over the summer.
