Crawley Town coach Guy Whittingham reckoned the Reds gave a professional display in beating Tranmere 2-0 on Tuesday night.
He praised goalkeeper Paul Jones for an improved performance after making some howlers in previous games.
Whittingham said: “We showed a professionalism like we did at MK Dons that we really wanted to win the game and we dug in when we needed to.
“Paul Jones had a great game and kept us in the game with some important saves. He’s had one or two mishaps and it’s great to see.
“They’ve had two wins and we knew it would be a difficult game. They came here and put us under pressure. We have played better but at this time in the season its all about winning games.”
