Alan Mullery thrills Albion fans at the Holbrook Club

Former England international and Spurs captain Alan Mullery MBE was the special guest at a meeting held by North West Sussex Seagulls, the Horsham-based Brighton & Hove Albion supporters group.

Mr Mullery, born in Notting Hill but now living locally in Southwater, spoke at the meeting at Holbrook Club on Thursday (January 30) spoke about his experiences as a professional footballer and about his time as manager of Brighton, where he was in charge for two spells between 1976-81 and 1986-87.

After charming a room full of Albion fans with his often humorous tales of a life in football he took part in a lively Q&A session before making himself available for the obligatory photographs with supporters.

North West Sussex Seagulls were founded in 2011 and are a non-profit making Albion supporters club who also make charitable donations to local clubs and organisations, youth football teams and other good causes.

They arrange transport to all home games at the Amex Stadium and currently run three coaches from the Horsham, Southwater, Billingshurst, Cowfold and Henfield areas to the Amex on match days.
