Horsham manager Dominic Di Paola has continued to hail his title winning players - but struggled to pick out a star man.

Captain Joe Shelley won the supporters’ player of the year gong, but any of the team could be picked out for praise in a formidable season.

Di Paola has himself exclaimed it was a team effort that saw them to the Premier Division crown.

He said: “Biff for me has been an incredible player for me for the ten years he has played for me. I couldn’t ask for a better player to have, he’s as honest as the day is long.

“The supporters here can see that, people aren’t stupid, he always give high levels of performance.

“The back four has been phenomenal. In games where perhaps we have not been firing, they have done ever so well. We have only let in 22 goals in the league which is a massive achievement.

“Then our attacking players have done great. Darren Boswell has had his best season for us, Kieron Pamment has come in and done very well and Terry Dodd is he was fit, he would not be playing this level, because he has everything as player.

“When you look at the team, there have been some unsung heroes as well. Adam Hunt has had his best season for me.

“I could sit and reel off anyone. It’s a collective. Ryan Storrie, anyone else would have probably just given it up as he has been on the bench so much undeservedly as he has not played battle.

“He has stuck it out and deserves enormous credit. Tom Atkinson deserves credit and Brad Lewis, they are the three that have not been playing as much and all have played their part. That’s what a team is all about.”
