Prior back with the Sharks

Sussex Sharks are hoping to extend their lead at the summit of the Friends Life t20 South Group this evening (Thursday June 28) when they take on Essex Eagles at The Ford County Ground, Chelmsford (7.10pm start).

The Sharks are hoping to make it a quick ‘double’ over the Eagles and open up a four point gap at the top in the process, following their 19 run victory against them at The PROBIZ County Ground on Sunday.

There were 399 runs scored across the 40 overs with Chris Nash (52), Luke Wright (40), Scott Styris (36) and Joe Gatting (45 not out) all helping Sussex pass the 200-mark. Chris Liddle’s three wickets in reply helped dismiss the visitors for 190.
