ROFFEY Cricket Club announced themselves to the rest of the Sussex Premier League with a five wicket win.
The Division’s new boys beat East Grinstead on Saturday on the Premier League debut, and skipper Mike Norris thought it could have been even more comfortable, if his side didn’t have a slight wobble when well set chasing 222.
He said: “We fielded and bowled really well, and we showed the strength we have to our batting.
“A lot of teams are going to be coming here unsure of what a good total is, so we were happy to restrict them to around 220. We probably should have seen it home easier than we did, and three silly dismissals put the pressure on a little.”
