Roffey captain Josh Fleming warned his side will fight all the way to defend their crown after inflicting leaders Cuckfield with their first defeat of the season on Saturday.
The reigning champions knocked early front-runners Cuckfield off their perch in the Premier Division with a 70-run victory.
The visitors amassed 253-6 declared batting first with Rohit Jagota making 91 and Ben Manenti 57.
George Fleming then took 5-56 as the reigning champions bowled Cuckfield out for 183 despite 47 from Ben Candfield at number eight and 39 from Josh Hayward.
Josh Fleming said: “ It was a big win for us. It was nice to get back-to-back wins to build our confidence going into the big game against East Grinstead this week.
“We definitely won’t be going down without a fight this year. We know we are far from being favourites to win it, but will fight all the way to defend out title.”
Cuckfield dropped to third with the defeat as Brighton & Hove took over at the top, with Roffey remain sixth.
Having won the toss and chosen to bat, Josh Fleming (40) and Theo Rivers (19) put on 66 for the opening stand.
Chris Webb added 20, before a fifth-wicket stand of 88 from Jagota and Manenti put them in great shape.
Roffey declared early and steadily took wickets to reduce the hosts to 85-7.
Late runs boosted the hosts, but George Fleming returned with the ball to help clear up the wagging tail, before last man Candfield (47) was claimed by Jagota (1-1) in his only over to leave them 183 all out.
Fleming continued: “The wicket was a tricky one to bat on so 253 was a huge score. The positive manner in which Rohit and Ben played allowed us to declare early and give us more time to take the 10 wickets.
“They both played really well. We bowled well as a unit with everyone chipping in with wickets. George was the standout and could have had more wickets if we had fielded better.”
