After back-to-back promotions, Ben Williams will again skipper the side this season and they have made two marquee signings ahead of their Premier Division debut.

England and Sussex wicketkeeper Matt Prior and former Sussex captain Mike Yardy have joined their ranks second to their county duties.

Also in coming at the Jubilee Fields are Jay Hartard, from Chichester, Will Fazakerly, from Worthing, and former Three Bridges man Abi Sakande.

Williams is realistic that two of their new additions may not feature much, if at all, this, but is relishing the coups.

He said: “Michael had his benefit game here last year and loved the day, how well he was treated and the club itself and with his Sussex club Hastings getting relegated wanted to sign for us.

“Matt lives nearby and if either of them fancy a game when not playing for Sussex it would be fantastic to see them play at Jubilee Field.”
