The match at the club’s Broadbridge Heath pitches saw the men’s 1st XI take on a President’s XI consisting of promising players, club stalwarts and potential new players with a mix of around five different clubs involved.

The first team ran out 4-1 winners with goals from Mark Humphreys (two), Duncan Howarth, and Jon Campbell.

Jon, or JC, is the departing club captain, and enjoyed a fantastic debut, scoring a goal and providing an assist a week before leaving for the US.

The goal for the President’s XI came courtesy of Alex Masters, who had a prolific season for the Horsham second XI this year.

The match was sponsored by Vines of Gatwick and captain of the President’s XI, George Pettitt, won the Vines Cup for man of the match.
