My thanks to mum’s rescuers at Storrington

I WOULD like to say thank you to the lady from Fryen Road, Storrington, who in the early hours of last Friday morning stopped her car and helped my 80-year-old mother who had fallen over on the main Storrington - Amberley Road.

I am indebted to her and also Mike, the local gritter lorry driver, who stayed with my mother and called an ambulance and also looked after Chico her little dog.

I am quite convinced that these two people saved my mother’s life, and words cannot convey my appreciation.

I would also like to say to all the people who drove round her as she lay in the road - shame on you.

I just hope next time it isn’t your mother/father/son/daughter!
