LETTER: Challenge me for Alzheimer’s

I want to encourage your readers to challenge me to a game of Scrabble, in a bid to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

I’m hoping to play 100 games of the word game in 24 hours – a Scrabblathon - at Horsham District Scouts headquarters, in Bishopric.

It’ll start at 10am on Saturday 2nd July and run through to Sunday 3rd July at 10am. I thought it was time to turn my mental agility to something that is also close to my heart – namely tackling dementia.

A close family friend of mine passed away in January last year and I know how much dementia can impact on family and friends.

Along with my heroes Terry Pratchett and Tony Robinson, I want to find a way to support people with dementia as best we can and also to help solve the problem for the future through research.

There’s a suggested donation of £5 a game to play against me and those who would like to sign up to play a game can email Chris at chris@wordysturdy.net
