One of the big positives to come out of the EU is the long-running ERASMUS student exchange programme.
This gives students and young people in the UK – and throughout the EU – the opportunity to study and work abroad.
I had the opportunity to go to Germany for a year – a great experience, discovered a lot about the language and culture – and it helped me get my job at Sun Alliance (now RSA) in Horsham.
A couple of years ago the EU did a quick survey which revealed that – as a result of all this exchange travel and resulting partnerships – there are now more than one million ‘Erasmus’ babies!
Hardly surprising then that the vast majority of young people want to remain in Europe and want to see the UK play a stronger and more positive role.
Vote Remain on June 23 – to give our young people the best chance – it is their future we are voting for.
