LETTER: Appalled by poor behaviour

Isn’t exciting: Brexit I mean.

Remain reminds us of our importance in Europe and that if we leave there will be rivers of blood, plagues of prawns, bankruptcy, loss of all jobs, riots in the streets, with all of us reduced to begging by the side of the roads.

Exit tell us it will end the immigration problem, we will save £350 million per minute in contributions, live in a utopian land of milk and honey, become the leader of the free world, win the world cup and the Eurovision song contest.

What they have not said is that if we leave, the EEC will probably collapse. It is on its way out anyway. I deal with a lot of clients from all over Europe and I am astounded by their depth of feeling about the negative aspects of the EEC. I understand most countries using the Euro have already printed warehouses full of their old currencies, pending its collapse.

If we stay, one thing is certain. The Eurocrats will take that as a vote by Britain that we support the EU and will not let us negotiate any options from their edicts. So, goodbye to the pound, welcome to the Euro Army commanded by Luxembourg and forget any dispensations we already have.

Finally, as a politician, I am appalled by the childish behaviour of those who are supposed to rule us. Calling them spoilt children in the nursery is actually an affront to most kids.
