Kindness of strangers

I WOULD like to thank a Good Samaritan who volunteered to change the wheel of my car, when I was stranded at Tesco’s with a punctured tyre on August 25. This task was carried out quickly in heavy rain by this kind gentleman in order to save me waiting in the car park for a rescue service to arrive.

Kindness and courtesy from strangers is often rare these days and I am most grateful to him. He did not tell me his name and I only know that he came from Billingshurst and drove a Land Rover.

I wish to thank him for helping a worried pensioner and restoring my faith in modern humanity.
