The injured rider, a 44-year-old woman from Yapton, appears to have failed to negotiate a left-hand bend on the A29 on Bury Hill on Sunday morning (August 9) and collided with road sign post on the opposite side of the road before falling into the grass, according to police.

Emergency services were alerted at 10.29am, but it is not clear how long beforehand the incident had occurred.
