Tests have found that the Sparkle Girlz Winter Princess Doll sold in Wilko stores contain unexpectedly high levels of phthalates. As a result they could pose a health risk to children if placed in the mouth.

In recent years some research has linked phthalates to everything from asthma to breast cancer and autism.
