Why Friday night is pizza night for people in Horsham

That’s according to the food delivery service Deliveroo which has come up with new data throwing the spotlight on Horsham residents’ eating habits.

It shows that Friday is the night most locals prefer to stay home with a Deliveroo meal - and that a pollo ad astra pizza from Pizza Express is the most popular dish in town.

Deliveroo, which works with a number of restaurants in Horsham delivering meals around the town, says that Friday at 7:42pm is the most popular time for Horsham locals to order a meal.

And while locals love Italian food the most, Japanese and British are also popular. And while pizza is tops, other favourites are chicken katsu curry from Wagamama, cod and chips from Deep Blue, Bill’s hamburger from Bill’s Restaurant, and salt and pepper squid from the Giggling Squid.

Since its launch in Horsham two years ago, more than 30 restaurants have signed up to the Deliveroo service and it has created work for more than 40 delivery people.

Deliveroo managing director Dan Warne said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Horsham over the past two years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”

And the restaurant manager at Deep Blue said: “Working with Deliveroo has been great, they really take the pressure off deliveries at our end and leave us to do what is important, cook the food! Since we joined Deliveroo we have seen our output go up considerably as we have been able to reach consumers we could not reach before.”
