Horsham’s USA namesake freezing up
With the Horsham district enduring strong gusting winds, long periods of heavy rain and resulting floods, news comes from the town’s American namesake which is also suffering extreme weather.
Horsham in Philadelphia is enduring an extremely cold winter with night-time temperatures hitting minus 18degC.
The daytime temperature has been minus 10degC.
Not surprisingly, there is a threat of snow today and in the coming week as temperatures fluctuate from 3degC to minus 15degC.
Horsham’s other namesake, in Australia, however is enjoying summer with a few showers but basking in balmy temperatures of 23 to 33degC.
