BRITISH Bookshops and Stationers which recently relocated its Horsham shop to West Street has gone into administration.
Yesterday the Sussex bookshop chain, which owns 51 shops across the South East announced it was handing over its management to Zolfo Cooper.
The shops will stay open while the administrators explore all options, including finding a buyer. A spokesman for the company said they had already been approached by interested parties.
If Horsham’s shop does close it will be yet another victim of the recession. H Samuel closed this week and a cloud looms over the future of HMV.
Do you shop at British Bookshops and Stationers? How do you feel about the news of it going into administration?
