Waitrose submits application to expand its Storrington store

WAITROSE has submitted an application to pull down its current store in Storrington and build a larger one on the same site.

After months of controversial consultations with businesses and residents of Storrington and surrounding villagers, the upmarket supermarket giant seeks to build a new larger store and a two storey car park for 224 cars.

Campaign groups have already reacted with anger towards the plans.
