An elderly woman has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries after a collision on the A29 near Warnham this afternoon (Friday June 28).
Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to the scene at around 12.45pm.
The two vehicle collision took place two miles north of the A281 junction.
Firefighters freed the elderly crash victim from a vehicle.
She received medical attention from Sussex Air Ambulance paramedics.
Sussex Police said that she has been airlifted to Kings College Hospital in London with life-threatening injuries
