Three flats in Horsham town centre were evacuated after a mains burst, flooding the properties.

Firefighters were called to the homes in Blackhorse Way at about 10.30am today (Tuesday February 28).

The fire service said two pumps attended after a mains pipe burst inside a cavity wall.

Horsham Fire Station said the flooding was ‘severe’ and affected three properties.

Water and electricity supply to the flats were isolated and salvage work was carried out by crews.
