UPDATE: Horsham stabbing suspects bailed

THREE men arrested after a serious assault in Horsham have been released on police bail.

A 29-year-old man, who was walking home from a nearby club in the town, suffered stab wounds to the body, serious head injuries consistent with punching and kicking, and arm and leg fractures, during the assault. He is still receiving treatment at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

The attacked happened in the Pavilions leisure centre car park at 2.20am on Saturday.

The three men, aged 19, 20 and 22, and all from Horsham and were arrested late on Saturday evening and in the early hours of Sunday. They have been bailed until October 6.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Anyone who has any further information about the assault is asked to contact us on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Hotel or serial 0232 of July 23.”
