A main Horsham road should reopen on Monday after being closed for emergency gas repair work.
Comptons Lane in Horsham was today closed for planned gas works, however a spokesman for the company SGN said the road should be reopen around lunchtime tomorrow.
A spokesman for SGN said: “We have made our repairs to our gas main in Comptons Lane in Horsham and reinstatement of the road surface will be carried out tomorrow morning (Monday, October 26).
“We have been working in Comptons Lane close to the Harwood Road roundabout.
“There is a road closure in place between the Harwood Road roundabout and Depot Road, with diversions for traffic.
“The road closure will remain in place until the reinstatement has been carried out and had time to set.
“All being well, we anticipate that the road will reopen around lunchtime tomorrow.
“Access is being maintained for residents of Comptons Lane.”
