Several homes are still without power in Steyning after an electrical fault cut off supplies earlier this morning (Tuesday June 7).
UK Power Networks, which is responsible for supplying electricity to properties in the area, said a fault had occurred on a piece of electrical equipment at around 9.35am.
A spokesman for the company said it was originally believed to be affecting 28 homes.
However, later today a spokesman said: “This issue affected three customers from 9.36am today, not 28 as originally advised.
“We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience this is causing and assure residents we’re working to reconnect their supplies as quickly as possible.”
The issue is still ongoing and is expected to be resolved by 8pm this evening.
