UPDATE: A24 near Southwater reopened after car hits tree

Drivers faced major problems on the A24 near Southwater this morning (Friday April 15) following an accident.

The A24 Worthing Road was closed in Southwater after a car left the road and hit a tree by the Pollards Hill Roundabout.

Recovery work has now been completed and the road has reopened.

Traffic was heavy southbound between the Mill Straight junction and Buck Barn Crossroads, because of the incident.
