Two incidents involving ‘suspicious males’ in Roffey

Two separate incidents involving ‘suspicious males’ were reported in Roffey yesterday (Tuesday 23).

Police were called to a home in Shepherds Way, at around 9.15am after a man, unknown to the home owners, entered a house through an unlocked back door whilst the occupants were at home.

Police said the man saw the occupants were at home and ran out of the property in the direction of Lambs Farm Road.

He has been described as a white male with dark hair, of medium height and was wearing a black raincoat.

Police are also investigating an attempted burglary at a bungalow in Hawksbourne Road, at around 11.30pm.

Three men were seen outside the property by the elderly occupant and it is believed that two of the males were trying to force open the front door lock police have said.

The offenders were disturbed by the occupant and left the scene. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the men.
