VIDEO: Young girl involved in collision with car in Horsham

A young girl has been involved in a collision with a car in Horsham this afternoon (Monday March 23).

A Sussex Police statement said the girl is four years old.

Emergency services were called at 3.38pm to the incident at the junction of Gilligan Close and Blackbridge Lane in Horsham.

Guildford Road and Bishopric were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The statement adds that the car involved had left the scene and enquiries are being made to trace it.

The girl was conscious at the scene. The air ambulance attended but she was taken to East Surrey Hospital by road ambulance from where initial reports suggest that she is not seriously injured.
