A woman suffered a suspected broken wrist and two others were injured in a crash on the A29 near Five Oaks this morning (Thursday October 8).
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the three people hurt in the two-car collision escaped with ‘relatively minor’ injuries.
The crash happened in Stane Street at about 8.30am and caused huge tailbacks among the morning rush hour traffic.
The spokesperson said the woman, aged in her 60s, was taken to Crawley Hospital with injuries including the suspected wrist fracture.
Two others escaped the collision with ‘aches and pains’, the spokesperson added.
An ambulance, a paramedic car and four police cars were in attendance.
