Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Horsham this morning (Wednesday April 20).
None of the three were thought to be seriously injured and all were fully conscious after the collision, a spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said.
Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the incident involving two cars in Hills Farm Lane at 8am.
A woman, aged in her 40s, was trapped in her vehicle and had to be rescued by fire crews using hydraulic rescue equipment.
She had suffered injuries to her abdomen and chest and was immobilised as a precaution for any potential injuries - though she was not seriously hurt.
She was taken to East Surrey Hospital by ambulance.
Two other people, who were able to get out of the other car, were also taken to hospital.
The road is blocked and work to recover the vehicles is under way.
Two fire crews from Horsham and one from Crawley were sent to the scene.
