UPDATE: Man dies after Horsham crash

A man died after a crash in Horsham in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday November 1).

Police were called to a collision involving at white Mercedes car and a pedestrian on the A264, at the junction with old Holbrook, at 1am.

A police spokesman said the pedestrian, a 51-year-old man from Horsham, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 42-year-old man from Billingshurst, was not injured in the crash.

The A264 was closed in both directions while investigation and recovery work took place. The road has now re-opened.
