UPDATE: Horsham pilot death investigation will take ‘months’

The 68-year-old, who has not been named, died after an aircraft came down near Middle Wallop on Saturday (April 27), say Hampshire Constabulary.

Police were called to the scene at 4.55pm where he was pronounced dead.

The aircraft was a single engine, single wing replica World War I aircraft which was involved in a practice display at the time.

He was the only person onboard.

An investigation has been launched by the Air Accident Investigation Branch.

A spokesperson told the County Times that the wreckage has been moved to Farnborough and the investigation will take quite a few months.
