UPDATE: Emergency services attend van and car crash in Colgate

A woman was taken to hospital after a van and car crash.

South East Coast Ambulance Service was called to the scene in Forest Road, Colgate at 2.25pm today (Tuesday, August 11).

A spokesman said a man who was in the van suffered head pain and a woman in the car suffered back pain.

Sussex Police has confirmed the woman was taken to East Surrey Hospital with minor injuries.

The road has been closed between the Tower Road and Beech Road junctions.

Firefighters were in attendance for half an hour.
