UPDATE: A24 lane closed after ‘motorbike smashed’

A MOTORCYCLIST has received ‘serious’ injuries following a single vehicle collision on the A24, Findon, at 2.30 this afternoon.

Police and emergency services are currently at the scene and have closed one lane northbound.

Storrington resident Rosemary Vaughn, who made the call to emergency services, told the County Times: “I saw the motorcyclist on the ground with the pieces of his bright green motorbike smashed around him.

“He wasn’t moving so I called the emergency services immediately.”

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said the motorcyclist’s injuries are ‘non life threatening’.

Drivers are advised to use an alternative route.
