Two boys and two adults in hospital after collision in Rudgwick

Two children and two adults were taken to hospital in Guildford after a car collided with a tree in Rudgwick yesterday evening (Thursday June 19).

Sussex Air Ambulance, South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), police and fire crews were called to the incident on the A281 at about 10.45pm.

A man, the car driver, was taken to hospital along with three passengers - a woman and two boys.

Another passenger, a girl, was discharged from the scene.

A spokesperson for SECAmb said the injuries were not believed to be life threatening, but added the patients may have suffered broken arms or legs.

However, the injuries appeared to be relatively minor, the spokesperson added.

One of the boys suffered a head injury and the other sustained injuries to his ankle and foot.

The driver received a thorax injury and the woman suffered an injury to her upper arm.

They were taken to Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford by road.

Fire crews left the scene shortly before midnight.
